Strawberry Cake
Ingredients:- 1 package white cake mix (without pudding if you can find it)
- 3 tbsp flour, sifted
- 1 small box strawberry Jell-O
- 1/2 cup water with 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries in syrup, thawed
Note: This recipe has not been tested with new cake mixes. This recipe was created to make dry cakes more moist. The amount of oil, water, and eggs need to be adjusted (I suggest using the measurements on your cake mix box.) Add flour, Jell-O, water, oil, and unbeaten eggs to cake mix. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed or until smooth. Add the frozen strawberries and beat one minute or until thoroughly mixed. Pour into two 9 inch layer pans. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes. Frost with strawberry frosting. Strawberry Frosting- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, thawed
Cream butter until smooth. Add sugar, a few tablespoons at a time, and salt. Add strawberries. Beat very thoroughly. If too sweet, add fresh lemon juice. Variation submitted by Doris M.Ingredients- Duncan Hinds Moist classic cake mix {no pudding in it}
- 1 3 oz. box of strawberry Jell-O
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 c. of granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. of sifted flour
- 3/4 c. of frozen or fresh strawberries, chopped finely
- 1 c. of vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. of milk
Mix well and put in a 9by 12 pan [not all of recipe ,make some cupcakes with extra] too much in this pan will spill over!!!!!!!Bake at 350' degrees till slightly brown and insert toothpick in center... Very moist cake!!!! Frosting- 1 stick softened butter[ better to use real butter}
- 1 box of confectioners sugar
- 1 cup of fresh strawberries
- 1 tsp vanilla
