Prohibited ItemsItems prohibited from shipment, storage at government expense as personal property (including do-it-yourself moves): - Marine engines and power unites, gasoline, diesel, or electric powered inboard or combination (excluding outboard motors).
- Gold, silver bullion and cash.
- Perishable food stuffs, grocery provisions other than those for consumption by yourself and/or your dependents.
- Live plants.
- Tax-free cigarettes and alcoholic beverages (there are some exceptions).
- Pets, kennels that exceed dimensions of 4ft x 3ft x 3ft.
- Articles for sale or resale (Amway, Avon, Mary Kay, etc.).
- Flammables, combustibles, or explosives (flash bulbs, ammunition, light bulbs, and batteries to name a few).
- Any type of passenger carrying vehicle (excluding jet skis, motorcycles, and snowmobiles).
- Camper trailers.
- Wooden or metal fencing (excluding metal fencing for a small garden/small dog run) or building materials (lumber, brick, concrete blocks, firewood, etc.).
- Airplane parts, including manned gliders (some hang gliders may be shipped).
- Aerosol cans, disinfectants, adhesive, paint, auto polish, shoe polish, etc.
- Prohibited firearms as determined by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (sawed-off shotguns, machine guns, etc.).
- Utility sheds which have not been cleaned and disassembled.
- Cigarettes, cigars, or pipe lighters containing flints and/or fluids.
